Hannah and Clay
June 15, 2024
We both swiped right! Hannah got lucky and her first (and only) online date was with Clay (and Clay got lucky and never opened the dating apps again).
They went to a little restaurant called Tawan's Thai Food in the Outer Richmond and hit it off instantly -- a quintessential San Francisco love story!
(This is our very first picture together, from our 3rd date)
Hawaii is our happy place. It's where Clay first asked Hannah to be his girlfriend, and we've made so many memories there since! We've been to O'ahu, Maui, and Kauai, if you're looking for recs!
We love O'ahu for it's incredible food scene, variety of hiking trails, and scenic beaches (North Shore & Lanakai, no thank you to Waikiki).
Maui is the island where we find romance, the sunsets and beaches always warm our souls.
Kauai is where we feel at peace. The food trucks are incredible, the local vibe is fun, and we love it further up north at Hanalei Bay.
In June of 2021, we moved in together just a few blocks from where we were both already living in the Richmond District!
We live near by amazing food & coffee on clement street, a short drive to ocean beach, and one block from golden gate park. It's perfect for us, but lately Karl has been showing up a little too often...
Our first international trip together was in Spain. When we travel, we like to explore cities on foot and eat a LOT of local food! Since this trip, we've been to Denmark, Sweden, and Japan. We plan to go to Switzerland and Italy for our honeymoon!
Golden gate park has always been so special to us. Clay felt we built the foundation of our relationship from our daily habit of long walks and talks in the park. It's become part of our daily routine to help re-center ourselves and open up to each other.
So it was a natural choice to propose by rowboat on stow lake, one of our favorite walking spots!
Similar to our wedding venue, Clay wanted the proposal to be in a semi-private, but still a publicly accessible location, so we could come back to visit and remember the moment.
It took about 5 minutes of convincing Hannah that it was okay to stand up in the boat, and that she didn't need to worry about the nearby "park ranger" watching us (it was the photographer in disguise!)
Hannah’s future sister-in-law! A coffee connoisseur, and fan of all things pink. At the wedding you’ll find her tearing up the dance floor or tearing up next to Hannah.
Sister of the bride! Future teacher and avid reader. Ask me about some childhood memories about Hannah -- I've got some great stories to tell!
Sister of the bride! I like to crochet, drink matcha, and watch K-dramas. At the wedding you will find me taking a bajillion photos of Hannah or at the dessert table.
Youngest sister of the bride (by 11 years, in fact!)! Lumpia lover, and captain of the volleyball team. Ask me the funniest memory I have of Hannah.
Friend of the bride and groom! Plant enthusiast (I have over 100), and proud dog mom. Ask me about the double date where Hannah and I bamboozled Clay and my husband, Eric.
Long time friend of the groom, met in a hacker house. I like to run, bike, and walk my dog with my wife. Ask me about the time Clayton and I attended a Christmas party at a funeral home.
Brother of the groom. Enjoys DIY, wood-working, and helping out family with all their construction projects! Ask me about my two cats Tre and Crew.
Friend of the couple. I love making ice cream and trying new food. Ask me about the time Clayton drove me and Eric from San Francisco to Seattle.
Longtime prior roommate and friend of the groom. I love producing music and making food. I run a YouTube channel called COOK IT UP! where I do catch and cooks, and I cook all the music you hear on the channel too. Ask me about "the factory" and the epic meals Clayton and I have cooked together!
Long time friend of Clay. My wife and I live in the American Southwest where we read books and sip coffee each day. Ask me about the music Clay and I have written and recorded together!
